Michiel Niessen
A wonderful person to play with! I had the pleasure to sing
with Michiel in an event organized by Centro Nacional da Cultura in the
«Golden Hall» of the Teatro São Carlos» in Lisbon.
Born in The Netherlands in 1963, Michiel Niessen received his first
guitar lessons at the age of eight. At 14 he moved on to the lute. Michiel
likes to expand the boundaries of his instrument by moving into crossover
styles, ethnic and proto-authentic instrumentation, amplification and
electronic influences. He plays on instruments made for him by Richard Berg
and on a rare original arciliuto from Venice, around 1600. |
Barbara Ochs
«Duets for a Trio» was the name of a programme I
organized for me and my friend Barbara Ochs, German mezzosoprano. We
were accompanied at the piano by Elena Tsouranova. To know more about this
wonderful singer, visit her web-site

Elena Tsouranova
It is always great fun to perform together with Ucranian
pianist Elena Tsouranova, an excellent soloist and accompanist. |
Armando Possante
This young singer is building up an excellent carrer in
Portugal. I enjoy very much singing duets from Mozart and others with
him... |
A trio fit for my programme Bert Brecht Songbook:
Lutz Kettnacker (piano) and Paulo Heitlinger (text &
presentation). |
